HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

So it's after midday on New Years Day for me and I haven't done anything productive. I spent the first few moments walking into a door and then getting drooled on by my dog Lupin.

I signed up for the Turtle Trot (Which you can find out about here)
After struggling a little bit to find projects to use, I finally managed to gather up 10 of them.

1. I don't know much about this, only that my Mum brought the kit from The Warehouse when they still cared about cross stitching and then she gave it to me to complete. It is nearly finished, I just have to complete all of the green, some flowers, and then the backstitch. I think it is pretty sad to say that as soon as this is finished it would be my biggest cross stitch finish...

2. This will be a new start. My Mum wanted me to stitch it for one of her friends in America because she wasn't able to do it her self and after 5 years I think it is a good time to start it...

3. This will also be a new start, I'm not sure which one I'll do yet, I think there is only enough supplies in the kit to do one. I brought this for $5 off Trade Me and want to do it for my Nana

4. This was started by my Mum, it was originally intended for my Uncle in America but my Mum said when I finish it I can do what I want with it. I will probably either give it to my Uncle or my Nana.

5. I got bored with this one at the beginning of last year and I thought I should finish it, I want to make it for my Mum.

6. This was also started by my Mum, she brought it because she liked the butterfly bag on it, stitched the butterfly and then got bored. When she was looking through her old stuff last year she found it and gave it to me. This has quite a lot of beads on it though.

7. This was the first kit I brought for myself. It is just stitched in black (I apologise, the picture rotated upside down and I can't seem to fix it) and I am nearly half way through.

8. This is my first attempt at printed canvas. I am not to sure how well I'll do one this one this year, I started running out of projects and had to use something.

9. This is probably my oldest project, I started when I was either 5 or 7 (8 or 10 years ago) and I still stitch on it. I got put off stitching it for a bit because my old stitches were absolutely shocking, two stitches are different directions from where my Mum started it for me and I turned it the wrong way, the whole of the skin is too tight on the fabric. I just don't want to restart it XD
10. And finally this weird Orchard that I think is an orchard but I don't know because the instructions and details are written in a different language.

I also pulled out of the WIPocolypse because I decided I am okay with one stitch-a-long.
Any way, with this being the longest post I have probably ever made, I will leave now :)

Bye and have a happy New Year!!!!

A Finish!!!!!

I don't think I have posted any updates at all on this :D

I made this to hang on the Christmas tree as a special ornament for my Grandad <3

The design was from Janlynn and it was my first attempt at stitching on plastic canvas (That I know of).

I still have to find the wire that came with it to make it into an ornament (Not doing anything fancy or adding anything to cover the back, this is my first ornament so I'm too scared to do anything with it)

Another Christmas Card finished

I completed another card this time for my Nana. I really hated stitching this one because of all the quarter stitches. I'm glad he's finished!

Before inserted into a card

A finish!

I stitched this Santa yesterday!
I've done nothing but stitch for a few days but I have been working on different projects so there isn't much progress on anything.

Apology and some Fandom merchandise

So I know I didn't post that thing like promised. My cellphone wouldn't let me view the photos because 'There is not enough memory' -_-

Anyway, I had to delete all of them. I will try and get them again now that my phone isn't being a ....

I have also brought the cottons and started stitching the next Pokemon for my sister, the next Pokemon is Liligant.

Another thing I'll add is, I went to Armageddon Expo a couple of weeks ago.
It was super expensive and they sold out of Photo tokens to see Jenna Coleman before I could buy them.

Any way, to add some photos to this post, this is some stuff I brought.

$15 TARDIS necklace

Harry Potter chocolate frogs, I ate the frogs but these are the cards I got. They were $3 each

Other side of the cards

This awesome $10 Pikachu necklace

This Golden snitch necklace that I paid $10 for (Originally $20) but I was actually buying the $12 BRACELET but I was given this instead (I got the bracelet later, no picture of it though)

$10 Pikachu plushy <3

And this $15 Deathly Hallows necklace, I got an eye of Sauron one as well that also cost $15 but I don't have a picture of that as well.

I'm back!

I apologise for the length of time I was gone.
I have had a very stressful couple of months.
At the beginning of August, my Grandad was put back in hospital and he died on the 18th of August.
After that, I have had school, then I was back on crutches, and then my asthma played up...
Any way,

I have managed to cross stitch! I have nearly finished the cat with the fishbowl! I have done a little more since this photo, I have done some of the border and the backstitch.

After photo!

Before!

I have also done more on Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), I am not sure if I have mentioned it before. I don't have any current photos at the moment but here it is when I picked it up:

Sorry, the picture is a little blurry...
I will try and have another post up this week :) I added a few more kits to my stash, also I have added more stitches to other WIP's here and there.

I am also going to try and get my Mum to teach me to knit again, I recently found the scarf I started in 2005 that I reckon is a lost cause.

That's all for now :)

I stitched something?

YES I HAVE!!!!!!!!
After over a month, I have finally found time to stitch something :D

This is a freebie kit from April 1998 issue of Cross Stitcher. There are 5 of them all up: The three above (Ones complete, One has a little more left, and one is Halfway) and 2 I haven't started (One with scissors, and one with threads :) )

It is a week into the school holidays, so far I haven't done much, Mostly I have just read books and watched movies.
I saw The Fault in Our Stars in the cinema last week with two of my friends, it was one of my birthday presents :3
Oh yeaaaahhhh, it was my 15th birthday last Tuesday and I got an awesome sampler kit from my parents :D I haven't managed to get a picture of it yet though :(

Have a great week :)

No new Stitching, TUSAL Report

Hello! I haven't stitched anything since my last update, I haven't stitched for nearly a month :O

Anyway, Here is my TUSAL report for this month.
These ORT's (Old Ratty Threads) are all from The Rabbit Letter Holder.

And this is them combined with last months ORTs

Have a great stitching week and I hope you get more stitching done than I have in the last two months :)

I FOUND SOME STUFF :D

Hello :)
I found some of my old WIPs the other day :)
I started all of them when I was either 7 or 10.

The first one is Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty

The next one is some sort of flower, I think it's an Orchid, I don't know because the kit was in a different language. It is the first one I have started on dark fabric and because most of the colours are dark it is a little difficult.

And the last one is a Rabbit Letter Holder my Mum brought from the Warehouse and gave to me.
This is what it looked like when I found it:

And this is what it looks like now:

I have done all of the stitches on the rabbit itself, now I just need the grass at the bottom, some flowers, a butterfly, and the rest of the backstitch.
I'm not really sure of this one because the colours aren't blending. What do you think?

Have a great stitching week :)

TUSAL report and Progress

Hello! I haven't posted much this month because I have been focusing on school.
I signed up for the TUSAL (Totally Useless Stitch-A-Long). Each full moon you take a picture of your ORT (Old ratty threads) and post your progress.

So, Here are my ORTs :)

I don't have many because A) I am quite frugal with my thread and I try not to waste much, B) The threads I collected when I started sort of disappeared because I was using an old medicine bottle and it ended up in the rubbish bin, and C) I think my 'little' friend in the background might of eaten some.

Anyway, Here is a picture of my progress on the cat :)

I think this is what it looked like the last time I posted :)

Happy stitching :)

Friday 9 May 2014

Where did I go?

Hello :)
Sorry I haven't updated anything :(
I haven't done much stitching over the past week because school started again.
I don't have any pictures either :( But since my last post I did buy two more kits :)
One is another cat, and the other is on black canvas with the words on it stitched in white saying 'Be the person your dog thinks you are' I think. I don't have it with me at the moment.

I will try to do a better, more stitchy post another day :)

Wednesday 30 April 2014

New Start :D

Hello!
I started the Cat with the Fish today :)
I stitched for a few hours but then decided to read blogs, Facebook,Watch Doctor Who episodes, Read, And Play Assassins Creed instead.
My Book Challenge started today and I managed to read a book (Or, re-read) already! I am quite proud of myself :)

Anyway, Here is Cat with the Fish. Sorry for the photo quality, I took the picture on my phone.

And this is what it will look like when it's finished

Unlike most of the stitches I do, I copied the original chart so I can make a working copy. I actually didn't think it was legal but everyone else seems to do it so I was unsure. It's not like I'm going to make money off it though XD

Have a stitchy day/night!

New Kit :)

Hello!
Today was quite good because I brought a new kit today for $13.99
There are two others like it in the shop as well so I might save up for them ^.^
Isn't it adorable?

I have also made more progress on the Girls Face

I have finished the bottom right quarter of the cross stitch now.

I don't know how much stitching I'm going to get done now though because my book challenge starts tomorrow! :D I can't wait for it to start :D

Happy stitching :)

Tuesday 29 April 2014

More stitching

Hello!
I did some more on the Girls Face
 This is the before
And this is the after.
I really like stitching this because it is easy and I am progressing faster than I thought I would.
Do you know what I recently found out? Most Stitchers copy their original pattern first, I honestly didn't think of that and am quite disappointed in my self because if I had thought of that I could of passed it on when I finished it. Oh well, hopefully I will remember for future patterns ^.^

I had a lot of time to stitch today but kind of decided on having a Doctor Who marathon...I am not proud to say that I only watched 6 episodes :(

Bye fore now XD
