Update and New Rotation

I only managed to stitch once this week, I worked on Anime Girl.

Before

After

I didn't get very much stitching done at all because I started back at school this week. School has taken a lot of time, I have already been set 10 pages of homework in one subject and more homework in all of the others.

I always knew I'd set up a new rotation once I start back at school and I've decided to keep to the same rotation but make it weekly not daily. I'll update the rotation to the side with the dates (this is so I remember it haha)

Have a great week :)

Last Update of January

I know I'm a day late, I had family over yesterday.

I only worked on one project this week, and that was The Ballet on Sunday and Wednesday.

Here is the before and after:

I'm quite happy with my progress because it's visible XD

Quick Update

I didn't do any stitching this week. I did hardly anything at all.
I have one week left of school holidays so I've been getting things ready.
Hopefully I'll be able to stitch next week but it's unlikely because I have to find my math homework T_T

Have a great week :)

2 Finishes and Some Decent Progress

I finished another book (Yay) and started the next in the series (as you can see on the side). I'm a little disappointed with my lack of reading but I'm still 2 books ahead of schedule so that's good I suppose XD

This weeks stitching:

Sunday: I made a new start! Castle Ridge by Teresa Wentzler. I didn't make much progress because I had to frog some of it due to colour mix-up. Sorry for the useless photo, I had to use my useless phone camera instead of my Mums slightly better phone camera XD

Monday: I stitched on both Try to be the person your dog thinks you are and Anime Girl.
Try to be the person...
Before

After, it's FINISHED :D

Anime Girl

After (Officially past halfway)

Tuesday: I stitched on the sewing box again, another thing finished as well :D Sorry for the many pictures, it is difficult to take pictures of a 3D object. Sorry for my thumb photobombing all of them too XD

Wednesday: I stitched on The Ballet, I wanted to stitch on Indian Dresses but I lost my bigger frame and couldn't hold it comfortably.

I got no stitching on Thursday

Friday: I got some stitching done on the Orchid

I haven't done any stitching today either, I was going to but then I made dinner instead and I was so sore afterwards that I couldn't be bothered hunting something down to stitch on.

Have a good stitching week :)

First Week of New Rotation

So I only stitched four times this week which I suppose is alright. I did read 2 books this week as well, Divergent and Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. According to GoodReads that is 1 book ahead in schedule for the 50 books I have planned to read this year. I did start reading Insurgent before the first Percy Jackson but then my book order arrived (Heroes of Olympus: Mark of Athena, and Heroes of Olympus: House of Hades) and I was eager to reread all the Percy Jackson books in my possession.

Anyway my stitching (which is what most of you are here for)

I didn't stitch on the Saturday I made the rotation as I didn't feel like frogging.

Sunday: Whatever I feel like day
I stitched on Anime Girl because after I found it again I couldn't wait to stitch on it again
Before
After
Monday: Anime Girl, Try to be the person your dog thinks you are, or Shells.
I chose Try to be the person your dog thinks you are.
Before
After
Tuesday: Small projects/ornaments
I chose the 1998 freebie box thing. I don't know where it's from as it was made before I was born but here it is:

After (Last square started)
I didn't stitch on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, but I did get in some stitching today :)

Saturday: Princess Aurora, Hand Bags, or any other thing that needs frogging.
I chose Hand Bags as I seriously doubt I'll ever pick up Princess Aurora ever again. I am adding Hand Bags permanently to Saturday ,even though it needs no more frogging, for days when I don't feel like tackling the frog.

Any way that's it for this week :)
Have a good week :D

2016 Goals and January Goals

Hello :D I am in a fairly good mood at the moment despite being incredibly sun burnt. The new year has made me particularly ambitious as well, giving me a rather long list of goals for January. I won't list them all but here are some:

1. Read 10 Books- I want to read all the books I own which is around 117 with more planned purchases.
2. Read 10 Wattpad Books- There are 132 completed books in my current Wattpad library and I want to read them all this year as well.
3. Read 10 Blogs- Before I follow anyone, I read the entire blog from the beginning and that has left me with over 115 blogs book marked (way more but I only left 4 pages to write down the list so the rest couldn't fit)
4. Start a cross stitch rotation- Maybe I'll make more progress this year XD
5. Finish Math Homework- I was given an entrance assignment for Level 2 Math but it is so easy it is boring and I leave it after a few minutes.
6. Watch Season 6 of Doctor Who- I know I am behind. I had to start watching it again because my family wanted to watch it too.
7. Finish Watching Avatar: The Last Airbender- My Dad really likes that show and we are currently half way through the last season before we start watching The Legend of Korra.
8. Finish Season 3 of Glee- I watch this with my Mum
9. Finish Season 2 of Cake Boss- I also watch this with my Mum
10. Finish Season 1 of American Idol- I started watching this with my parents but they got bored and I can't stand leaving something half way through
11. Finish Season 1 of Supernatural- I'm watching this with my Dad and my sister, they are trying to prove to me that I can handle horror. So far it's working.

And the rest I can't be bothered typing XD

As for my 2016 cross stitch goals (The pictures are going to be according to my last picture on my laptop because I can't be bothered with taking new photos)

1. Anime Girl

I want to finish this. It is so simple and it should be a quick stitch so I think I should be able to finish it. If not I'll settle for half way. (Goal: finish)

2. Try to Be the Person Your Dog Thinks You Are

I would like to finish this. I know I am actually further along with this one, I think I have another word done. (Goal: finish)

3. Shell Duo

My goal is to finish one of the two, so I suppose 50% if you count them together. I got so bored with this one just because it is hard to remember where I'm at because I didn't highlight. (Goal: finish 1 out of 2)

4. Dresses

My goal is to finish one dress which is about a quarter (Goal: 1 dress)

5. Cat with Fishbowl (and the other two in the series that haven't been started)

I would like to finish this one. I stopped originally because the backstitch is the same colour as the cat itself meaning it was so hard to work with. I would like to finish it though and then maybe finish the second one in its series (Goal: Finish 2 of these cats)

6. Cards

No point adding pictures as there are 10 in the set and I have finished 5 (some are unavailable as they were given away). I would like to finish all of them though. (Goal: Finish)

7. Ballerina Shoes

I want to get at least half way through this (Goal: Finish)

8. Christmas Village Ornaments

I've actually only got the backstitch left on the one in the picture. I just keep forgetting to take pictures. My goal is to finish all 6 of them (Goal: Finish)

9. Needlework Box

This was a freebie from a 1998 cross stitch magazine which is older than me and it STILL isn't done. I dug this out of my Mums stash years ago and started it and for some reason I haven't finished it. I think it has something to do with things I don't know how to do. (Goal: Finish)

10. Rabbit

I need to finish this. There is only a little bit left (The butterfly, the grass at the bottom, and a bit of backstitch) and it is taking forever. (Goal: Finish)

And those are my stitching goals. Of course I'm probably going to not going to stick to them and work on different WIP but I can wish.

I also want to start a rotation. I'm thinking

Mondays: Anime Girl, Try to be the person your dog thinks you are, or Shells
Tuesday: Small projects/ornaments
Wednesday: Indian Dresses, Garden Shed, Flower Fan, or Ballerina Shoes
Thursday: Projects that are nearly finished (Cat with Fishbowl, Rabbit)
Friday: Orchid, Thanksgiving Bow, or Cottage
Saturday: Princess Aurora (probably not because I hate it), Hand Bags, or any other thing that needs frogging. Also blog post day.
Sunday: Whatever I feel like day.

Well that's it for today as this post is rather long.

Until next week :)

End of year

I want to pull out of all the reading challenges because I don't want to be in them anymore but I can't figure out how to delete myself off the links.

I also have a very late TT post update.

I had so many piece changes this year and because I still can't find most of my pieces. I had to finished this year. Pokemon and the Marigold Fairy Card. I can't find the Marigold Fairy Card though as I stuck it somewhere 'safe' and lost it. But here is Pokemon!

Here is it from the beginning of the year:

And here it is now!

I haven't ironed it or framed it though because I do not actually own an iron :/ I am so happy I've finished this and it was so fun :D

I am looking forward to next year. I am not going to sign up for anything unless the Turtle Trot is going to run again. I got carried away with signing up for book challenges and I can't take the pressure. I think I should just relax again this year and stick to my own book challenge which is a 50 book challenge I run with my friends on Facebook.

I hope everyone had a great year and Happy New Year!
